| Vallarta Yacht Club is pleased to announce the opening of the 17th WesMex International Small Boat Regatta and to welcome competitors to this event. The schedule will be as follows: February 22 Early Arrival February 23 Practice Day February 24 Race Day February 25 Race Day February 26 Race Day & Awards This year we are hoping to see a grand turnout as WesMex will be the first of 2 qualifiers that determine the make-up of the teams for the 2023 Optimist North American Championship and for the 2023 Optimist World Championship. Classes participating in WesMex this year include the Optimist Class, the ILCA Class, and the C420 Class. Ages of the competitors range from 7 - 70, making it truly a family affair. This year, we will welcome 150 competitors and coaches from all over Mexico and parts of the United States. The word is out that Riviera Nayarit is the best place to sail; it's a place where you can enjoy the beauty of Banderas Bay and the many aspects of the Riviera Nayarit destination. And Paradise Village Resort provides the perfect venue and remains a strong partner for Vallarta Yacht Club events. |
