Additional Regatta Information: Cork Week is Ireland's biggest sailing event since its inception in 1978. This was a relatively small regatta for cruiser racers including a number of boats from North Wales and Dublin Bay. It continued on that scale until 1986 when the event was restructured to its current format. This successful format includes amazing competitive racing which is held on 6 different courses. Ashore at night there is a partylike atmosphere in the tented village with numerous live bands and competitions.
