| With the Olympics later this month and the quest to regain the Americas Cup in late August/September, the Sailing Museum and the National Sailing Hall of Fame invites Hall of Fame sailor and Emmy Award winning television commentator Gary Jobson to break down the much-anticipated competitions in a talk at the museum on July 18. Jobson, who will be covering the Olympics for NBC television beginning with the first Olympic race a week later in Marseille, will give a presentation focused on both the Olympics and the Americas Cup this year, analyzing the strength of the teams against our international rivals. Jobson raced on three Americas Cup crews in Newport between 1977 and 1983. He has covered 9 Cups for ESPN and NBC between 1983 and 2013, and he has covered the Olympics 7 times for NBC since 1988. His unique, independent perspective will include the challenges facing the athletes and Americas prospects for success.
