| The Yacht Club Italiano is proud to host the 2023 8mR World Championship from the 28th of august until 3 September 2023.
The Coppa dItalia has since 2000 been assigned to the best European boat in the 8 Meter World Championship. This cup was donated to Reale Yacht Club Italiano in 1898 by Umberto I, King of Italy and Patron of the Club. The Coppa dItalia is a national treasure and is kept at Yacht Club Italiano, and is handed over to the 8mR fleet whenever a World Cup or European Championship is held.
As holder of the cup and its long connection to the 8mR fleet, Yacht Club Italiano is honoured to host the 2023 Edition of the 8mR world cup from the club in Genoa. We look forward to welcome participants from all over the world and enjoy a warm welcome for the return of the 8mR fleet, together with fantastic sailing in the waters of Genoa, Italy. |
